The Ventura County Human Trafficking Task Force (VCHTTF) will receive $750,000 under a cooperative agreement award from the Department of Justice Office of Justice Programs Victims of Crime to expand victim identification and service provision through the Services for Trafficking Victims program (CFDA 16.320). The Task Force, co-led by the Ventura County Sheriff's Office and Interface Children & Family Services, will enhance its multidisciplinary collaboration and provision of trauma-informed, culturally affirming services to human trafficking victims. Over the three-year project period ending September 30, 2025, the VCHTTF will strengthen coordination, revise protocols, continue identifying victims and investigating traffickers, and assist victims in achieving safety, independence and well-being. The $750,000 in funding will support the Task Force's work to comprehensively address human trafficking in Ventura County, California through an integrated law enforcement and victim services model.
