The Massachusetts State Police, Massachusetts Internet Crimes Against Children (ICAC) Task Force will utilize a $511,991 Cooperative Agreement award from the U.S. Department of Justice's Office of Juvenile Justice and Delinquency Prevention (CFDA 16.543 - Missing Children's Assistance) to investigate technology-facilitated crimes against children and expand the ICAC Task Force's capabilities. Specifically, the funding will enable the Task Force to enhance investigative responses, increase the number of investigations, expand its network of 149 affiliate agencies, provide specialized training, and expand the use of mobile forensic vehicles. The Task Force consists of 105 investigators, 15 prosecutors, 35 forensic examiners, and 8 education specialists who work to prevent, interdict, investigate, and prosecute internet crimes against children and technology-facilitated child exploitation.
