THIS ACTION APPROVES AN AWARD IN THE AMOUNT OF $300,000 TO THE NORTHERN KENTUCKY AREA DEVELOPMENT DISTRICT TO INVENTORY, CHARACTERIZE, ASSESS, AND CONDUCT CLEANUP PLANNING AND COMMUNITY INVOLVEMENT RELATED ACTIVITIES FOR BROWNFIELD SITES IN COVINGTON AND NEWPORT, KENTUCKY. WITHIN THESE AREAS, ANDERSON WILL INVENTORY POTENTIALLY CONTAMINATED SITES. THEN PROPERTIES WILL BE ASSESSED WITH PHASE I ENVIRONMENTAL SITE ASSESSMENTS AND PHASE II IF CONTAMINATION IS SUSPECTED TO BE PRESENT.
