Description

This agreement provides funding to village of hanover park to implement its project for replacement of the existing UV disinfection system at the village of hanover park sewer treatment plant property as directed in the 2023 consolidated appropriations act or as identified in an approved technical correction if one has been approved for this project.activities:the activities to be performed are for the construction phase, including the costs to furnish and install a trojan 3000 plustrade; replacement system. This new system will consist of two banks with six modules each, and six lamps per module. The grant funding will also cover placing grout within the existing channel, as modern disinfection systems require much less cross-sectional area. Grant funding will only cover construction, construction materials, and all associated costs.subrecipient:no subawards are included in this assistance agreement.outcomes:the anticipated deliverables are a disinfection system that is properly engaging and functions during the months where disinfection is required by the plant. Positive environmental impact and long-term project outputs will be measured by the functionality and lifespan of the UV disinfection system. The existing UV disinfection system is past its useful lifespan and must be replaced. Reasonably, replacing the existing UV disinfection system will lower the direct risk of ecosystem contamination and public health issues over the course of the new equipment's useful lifespan. Removing the old UV disinfection equipment will lower the risk of contamination within the west branch dupage river, which is tributary to drinking water sources.
