DESCRIPTION:THIS AGREEMENT PROVIDES FUNDING TO THE CITY OF SESSER TO IMPLEMENT ITS PROJECT TO REPLACE APPROXIMATELY 5,600 FEET SANITARY SEWER LINE AS DIRECTED IN THE 2022 CONSOLIDATED APPROPRIATIONS ACT.ACTIVITIES:THE CITY OF SESSER WILL BE REPLACING THE SANITARY SEWER MAIN LOCATED BETWEEN SOUTH COCKRUM STREET AND BROADWAY STREET ON THE EAST AND WEST, AND ESPY STREET AND COAL AVENUE ON THE NORTH AND SOUTH. THE WORK WILL INCLUDE EXCAVATION AND REMOVAL OF THE EXISTING VITRIFIED CLAY PIPE SANITARY SEWER TRUNKLINE, REPLACEMENT WITH NEW 8', 10', AND 12' SDR 26 PVC PIPE, PROPER BEDDING, HAUNCHING, AND BACKFILL TO ENSURE LONGEVITY, AND RECLAMATION OF THE DISTURBED GROUND AREA. OTHER WORK ASSOCIATED WITH THE REPLACEMENT OF THE SANITARY SEWER LINE INCLUDES REMOVAL AND REPLACEMENT OF APPROXIMATELY 14 SANITARY MANHOLES, RECONNECTION OF SEWER SERVICE LINES, POTENTIAL ROCK EXCAVATION, AND PAVEMENT AND SIDEWALK REMOVAL AND REPLACEMENT.SUBRECIPIENT:NO SUBAWARDS ARE INCLUDED IN THIS ASSISTANCE AGREEMENT.OUTCOMES:THE ANTICIPATED DELIVERABLES INCLUDE SIGNIFICANT IMPROVEMENT OF THE CITY'S SANITARY SEWER INFRASTRUCTURE. THE INTENDED BENEFICIARIES ARE THE CITY OF SESSER RESIDENTS.
