DESCRIPTION:THIS AGREEMENT PROVIDES FUNDING TO BURLINGTON SCHOOL DISTRICT TO IMPLEMENT ITS PROJECT TO DESIGN AND CONSTRUCT IMPROVEMENTS TO THE STORMWATER MANAGEMENT SYSTEM ON THE CAMPUS OF BURLINGTON HIGHSCHOOL AND TECHNICAL CENTER DIRECTED IN THE 2024 CONSOLIDATED APPROPRIATIONS ACT OR AS IDENTIFIED IN AN APPROVED TECHNICAL CORRECTION IF ONE HAS BEEN APPROVED FOR THIS PROJECT. ACTIVITIES:THE ACTIVITIES TO BE PERFORMED INCLUDE THE EXECUTION AND IMPLEMENTATION OF A STORMWATER INFRASTRUCTURE CONSTRUCTION PROJECT. WORKPLAN ACTIVITIES CONSIST OF STORMWATER MANAGEMENT/TREATMENT WORK INCLUDING IMPROVING DRAINAGE OF THE ADJACENT ATHLETIC FIELDS THROUGH CONSTRUCTION OF A CURTAIN DRAIN FOR BOTH SURFACE AND GROUNDWATER AROUND THE PERIMETER OF THE WORK, DIRECTING FLOWS TOWARD THE ENHANCED STORMWATER MANAGEMENT SYSTEM. SUBRECIPIENT:NO SUBAWARDS ARE INCLUDED IN THIS ASSISTANCE AGREEMENT.OUTCOMES:THE ANTICIPATED DELIVERABLES INCLUDE THE IMPROVEMENTS OF THE STORMWATER MANAGEMENT SYSTEMS TO HELP PREVENT POLLUTED RUNOFF FROM ENTERING LAKE CHAMPLAIN FROM ITS WATERSHED. THE EXPECTED OUTCOMES INCLUDE IMPROVED DRAINAGE OF THE ADJACENT ATHLETIC FIELDS, ENHANCED STORMWATER MANAGEMENT SYSTEM, AND DECREASED SEDIMENT AND NUTRIENT LOADING TO LAKE CHAMPLAIN, A FEDERALLY LISTED IMPAIRED WATERBODY, AS REQUIRED IN THE LAKE CHAMPLAIN PHOSPHORUS TMDL. THE INTENDED BENEFICIARIES INCLUDE THE BURLINGTON SCHOOL DISTRICT COMMUNITY.
