DESCRIPTION:THIS AGREEMENT PROVIDES FUNDING TO THE CITY OF ELLSWORTH, ME, TO IMPLEMENT ITS PROJECT FOR THE HIGH STREET PUMP STATION AS DIRECTED IN THE 2023 CONSOLIDATED APPROPRIATIONS ACT OR AS IDENTIFIED IN AN APPROVED TECHNICAL CORRECTION IF ONE HAS BEEN APPROVED FOR THIS PROJECT.ACTIVITIES:THE PROJECT INCLUDES UPGRADING THE HIGH STREET PUMP STATION WITH SUCTION-LIFT PUMPS TO BE HOUSED IN A NEWLY CONSTRUCTED BUILDING ABOUT A NEW PRE-CAST CONCRETE WET WELL STRUCTURE.SUBRECIPIENT:NO SUBAWARDS ARE INCLUDED IN THIS ASSISTANCE AGREEMENT.OUTCOMES:THE ANTICIPATED DELIVERABLES ARE THE DESIGN AND CONSTRUCTION OF THE NEW PUMP STATION AND ASSOCIATED ANCILLARY EQUIPMENT, WHICH ARE EXPECTED TO MINIMIZE STORMWATER RUNOFF THROUGH A NEW STORMWATER TREATMENT SYSTEM, INCREASE RESILIENCY TO ENSURE BACKUP POWER AND SITE ACCESS DURING SEVERE STORMS, AND INCREASE STATION CAPACITY TO REDUCE POLLUTION FROM OVERFLOWS.
