FY2026 Tribal Child Support Comprehensive Grant Summary
The Winnebago Tribe of Nebraska received a Block Grant award of $401,392.48 from the Department of Health and Human Services Administration for Children and Families (ACF) under the Child Support Services program (CFDA 93.563) effective October 1, 2025, through September 30, 2026. This award funds the tribe's child support enforcement operations, which establish and enforce parental support obligations, locate absent parents, establish paternity, and obtain child, spousal, and medical support from non-custodial parents. The funding supports the tribe's Title IV-D agency in administering comprehensive child support services to eligible tribal members and families in accordance with the tribe's approved Title IV-D State Plan and federal compliance requirements under 45 CFR Part 75.
As a federally recognized tribal government with extensive experience administering federal social services programs, the Winnebago Tribe operates this child support enforcement function as a core component of its family services portfolio. The tribe maintains records and performance data in compliance with federal audit and data reliability standards established under the Child Support Performance and Incentive Act of 1998. This Block Grant represents consistent federal investment in tribal capacity to deliver critical child support services that ensure financial support obligations are enforced to benefit children and families within the tribal community.
