Description

Our detention center was built in 1973 and we are in desperate need of a new jail. While we have had readings for a new jails land, we are, at bare minimum, four to five years away from even starting the process. IT is also our intent to move this camera system as part of the new jails infrastructure, so this system were requesting would last more than a few years at this detention center. This funding would be a long-term investment. We also believe this falls into three key areas of priority: prevention and prosecution of hate crimes, enhancing justice system reform strategies, and violent crime reduction, which we will demonstrate in the proposal. We also believe this would be a project related to preventing, detecting, seizing, and/or stopping the presence and use of contraband cellphones within correctional facilities.
