ALIBRATE/REPAIR GUN TUBE INSPECTION STATIONS IN EGYPT
Added: Feb 07, 2018 1:44 pm WVA SCOPE OF WORK 02-18SERVICE CONTRACT FOR THE CALIBRATION AND REPAIR OF GUN TUBE INSPECTION STATIONM1A1 CO-PRODUCTION OF THE M256 CANNON AND GUN MOUNT AT MILITARY FACILITY 100 (MF-100) CAIRO, EGYPT,1. SCOPE/GENERAL REQUIREMENTSContractor shall provide all labor, equipment, travel and parts to calibrate, repair and perform preventative maintenance on the Gun Tube Inspection Station (GTIS) located at MF-100, Cairo, Egypt. Estimate calibration and repairs to take tee weeks for the initial visit and two weeks for the second visit. The contractor shall perform two visits during this year. An allotment of costs for parts will be included in the amount of $15K. Any parts allotments not used will be de-obligated at the end of the period of performance.2. TASKS2.1 SPECIFIC TASKS2.1.1 The contractor shall calibrate and repair the GTIS in MF- 100.2.1.2 The contractor shall provide the parts, installation and calibration services required to rebuild one of the bore straightness heads.2.1.3 The contractor shall configure and incorporate the older GTIS inspection systems into the newer upgraded GTIS cabinet. This shall include installing two Fischerscopes (or equal product) and configuring the spare come thickness head with new connections to adapt to the upgraded system. It shall also include adapting the older bore straightness and bore size heads into the newer cabinet.2.1.4 The contractor shall inspect the come thickness, bore straightness and bore diameter systems, including the computer hardware and inspection heads for oxidation, wear, and defective components.2.1.5 The contractor shall repair or replace defective components.2.1.6 The contractor shall test and calibrate all systems to achieve normal operating parameters and validate that the output is in accordance with actual readings.2.1.7 The contractor shall inspect the system printer for proper function.2.1.8 The contractor shall investigate all reported failures for cause.2.1.9 The WVA POC and contractor will review the parts list required and determine what parts will be procured by the contractor.2.2 Upon completion of repair and calibration of the two GTIS machines, the contractor shall provide a detailed written explanation of completed work to the WVA POC.2.3 If an item could cause critical failure to the facility, the contractor will immediately notify the WVA POC in writing.2.4 Except for the written direction of the PCO, the contractor shall not accept any direction issued by any personnel employed by the US Government, Military Factory 100, or Government of Egypt. The PCO shall be consulted in case of conflict.2.5 The particular days of the week worked by the contractor shall be adjusted to match Military Factory 100 policy and local customs, including observance of Egyptian national Holidays and Ramadan. Normal workweek at MF-100 is Sunday tough Thursday, 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM. Authorization is required in advance to work outside the normal work week.2.6 Overtime is not authorized.3. REQUIREMENTS3.1 All tools and equipment, including personal safety, steel toed shoes and eye protection, needed to perform the calibration and repair required by this contract shall be furnished by the contractor.3.2 Contractor must have inspection and repair experience on the GTIS.3.3 Prior to travel, the contractor will get approval for travel dates with the WVA Co-Production Office POC, James Vautrin, james.w.vautrin.civ@mail.mil, for concurrence.4 DELIVERABLES4.1 At the conclusion of the technical visit, the contractor shall provide a written status report within 30 days IAW CDRL A001. The report will include, work accomplished during visit, current condition of GTIS, problems, special concerns, a list of spare parts required for future preventative maintenance and itemized cost of repair to include parts, material, and labor.
