Description
X:nogrn, install waterline to maintenance bldg, this project shall provide the government with improvements to the existing water system to correct safety issues of employees drinking non-potable water. The existing drinking water for the facility comes from an on-site well. The system is old and needs to be updated to meet public health standards. Furthermore, the park has no licensed or trained water system operator. In the past 6 months, the fort payne city water board has installed a water line adjacent to the park property to serve county residents with certified potable water. This project ties into the fort payne city waterline. By tying into this system the park avoids the expense of providing water operator training, monthly/yearly water tests, and rebuilding the water system to meet NPS, directors order 83 for public drinking water standards. This project will provide the foundation for a lower overall cost of maintaining a water system. Install a 2" waterline by connecting to fort payne city water works board's main waterline. By to the NPS property line at liri's maintenance shop. Waterline project will also include boring under county road 103 and installing, to the property line 30' to 40' of 2" pipe with casing; installing one steel vault and one service meter.
