Added: March 17, 2008 This project is located at the U.S. Danville Border Station, Rural Route 21, Danville, WA 99121 (County: Ferry) The General Services Administration (GSA) intends to issue a solicitation for Repair of the Dry Pipe Fire Sprinkler System at the Danville, Washington Port of Entry (POE). This solicitation will be transmitted via electronic format (E-mail) or U.S. mail. Access to the complete solicitation, scope of work, specifications, drawing, pictures and (any) amendments to the solicitation will be made available within the solicitation package. The solicitation package #GS-10P-08-XC-P-0024 will be issued on 1 April 2008. Request should be submitted to the Point of Contact (POC) indicated in this synopsis. The request should include the name of the contractors company, address, phone number, DUNS Number, the name and title of the requester, and email address. To be eligible for award, contractors must be registered and active within the Central Contractor Registration (CCR) at http://www.ccr.gov. It is advised that if a contractor plans on performing work on any Federal or Government facility, that you register with CCR immediately. Contractors must be able to meet all Security Requirements and Customs & Borders Clearances (as identified in the solicitation package) in order to work at a Federal Building. The North American Industry Classification system (NAICS) codes: 238220. Contractor shall furnish all labor, supervision, equipment and materials required to repair the dry pipe fire sprinkler system at the Danville Port of Entry (POE) in strict accordance with the specifications. All work at the site should be executed during the hours the Port is open (8:00 a.m. to 12:00 am Midnight, 7 days a week) if possible in order to reduce Customs and Border Protection escort requirements. All work shall be coordinated with the Project Manager, Mr. William J. Reichert (Spokane Washington Field Office). Brief Overview of Requirements: Repair the Dry Pipe Fire Sprinkler System. Black Iron Pipe. 54 dry Sprinkler Heads. Existing sprinkler heads are under claim and recall by Central Sprinkler Company (CSC) therefore successful Contractor will have to coordinate directly with CSC for issuance and reimbursement for new heads. Repair and/or replace the dry pipe valve. Replace existing small air compressors and associated hardware. Install required relays, wiring, lights, etc. in connection with the Fire Alarm Central Panel. Upon completion, Test System to GSA Project Engineer standards and ensure it is compliant with NFPA Code. The Danville POE is a joint Port occupied by both U.S. and Canadian customs agents, owned and managed by GSA, who in turn leases each portion of the building to the respective Canadian and U.S. Customs Agencies. The port building straddles the International Boundary with the Canadian portion of the building residing on Canadian soil. The fire sprinkler system services both portions of the building, and for this contract it is our desire that the entire system comply with the U.S. version of the NFPA. Contractor is required to not interfere with routine port operations. Work associated with this requirement is subject to the Davis-Bacon Act. Attendance at the site visit is highly recommended. The GSA Project Manager, Mr. William Reichert (office phone: #509-353-3277 or cell phone #509-280-6589), located in Spokane, Washington. Anticipate a one time only site visit on Wednesday, 16 April 2008 at 10:30 a.m. (PST). Interested offers should have a photo ID and meet in the GSA Project Manager at the site (US Border Station, Danville WA 99121). Order of Magnitude for this project is between $25,000.00 to $100,000.00. Solicitation will be issued: 04/01/2008 and close on 05/01/2008. Anticipated Award date is: 23 May 2008. Selection will be made based on cost/price, best value and contractor responsibleness (see elements in the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Part 9.104-1 at http://www.arnet.gov/far). 100% Payment and Performance Bonds will be required.
