This will be a design/build construction project for the Air National Guard in Savannah/Hilton Head. There will be a site visit day and time posted when available. This project will include the purchase of a prefabricated metal building. The structure is anticipated to be a preengineered metal building or similar construction with eave heights to correspond to the function of the spaces within. The anticipated sq ft is 3,000. The construction magnitude is $1,000,000.00-$5,000,000.00 The selected contractor will provide architectural and engineering services as required for the site investigation and geotechnical design of the building foundations, all utilities and connections, the design of the building and ensure the project conforms to federal and state codes and standards. The contractor will provide drawings and specifications to the Georgia Air National Guard for review and must obtain GA ANG design approval at the 35% Type A2 Concept Stage, the 95% Type B2 PreFinal Stage, and 100% final “for construction” stage prior to beginning construction. The building shall be of durable construction for the intended military weapons systems training and use, and compatible in construction and appearance with the surrounding buildings located at the 165th Air Wing at 1401 Robert B. Miller Road, Savannah, GA. The Contractor shall be responsible for providing the services of a geotechnical engineer to conduct any subsurface exploration, investigation, testing, and analysis that the Designer of Record deems necessary for the design and construction of the proposed facility and site improvements. The geotechnical engineer shall be registered as a Professional Engineer (Geotechnical Engineer where required by law) and experienced with soil conditions in the region where the project site is located.
