Description
AIT town center repair: per quote dated 4 sept 2018, 4 WKS lead time, 3 WKS to complete, 90 days for custom acrylic covers 1. Membrane repair: a fabric patch will be sewn into place over the existing membrane. To accomplish this the structure must have the tension relieved at multiple points and be pretensioned to original specifications after completion of the patch. 2. Main mast pin modifications: weld machined plates to secure pin in lieu of bolted connections. Plates will be welded to pin only allowing intended movement of the structure. 3. Carrier plate replacement: the EOR recommends removal of the steel carrier plates and replacing them with 1X12 jaw-jaw style turnbuckles. Turnbuckles are the current standard construction method for these structures and should be updated. The new turnbuckles will have bolted connections with lock nuts installed in lieu of pins. 4. Replacement of aluminum fabric hanger straps as required. 5. Installation of new safety pins at every connection after RE-tensioning of structure. 6. Provide a letter from the EOR stating all repairs have been made IAW the manufacturers specifications. 7. Annual inspection for the following year and minor adjustments as needed. 8. Custom acrylic covers masthead enclosures to be fabricated, delivered, and installed with structure.
