STARA HAS ALREADY DEVELOPED, TESTED AND DEPLOYED FUNCTIONING SERVO CONTROL BOARDS THAT WILL BE SIMILAR TO THE ASSEMBLY IDENTIFIED IN SECTION 3.1. STARA ENGINEERS WILL LEVERAGE THIS EXPERIENCE TO FABRICATE AND BUILD A SIMILAR FOR THE PRECISION GUIDED PARAFOIL SYSTEM. THE TASK WILL FOCUS ON THE DESIGN, FABRICATION, BUILDING AND TESTING OF KEY COMPONENTS, AND THEN AUGMENT EACH WITH REQUIRED SOFTWARE AND DESIGN INTEGRATION. FOR THE PHASE III EFFORT WE PROPOSE TO BUILD THE BALLUTE SERVO CONTROL PC BOARD THAT WAS IDENTIFIED IN PHASE II. THE BALLUTE SERVO CONTROL PC BOARD IS USED TO DRIVE THE 4 BALLUTE SERVO MOTORS AND WILL CONNECT TO THE MOSQUITO 4 GUIDANCE COMPUTER S CAN BUS OUTPUT. TASK TO BE PERFORMED ARE BROKEN INTO TWO SECTIONS. ONE WILL BE FUNDED BY $50,000 FROM NASA AND THE OTHER BY $50,000 MATCHING SBIR FUNDS.
