The U.S. Health Resources and Services Administration (HRSA) awarded a $7,438,261.51 firm-fixed-price purchase order contract to Postpartum Support International (PSI), a non-profit organization based in Portland, Oregon, to operate the National Maternal Mental Health Hotline. This contract is part of a larger HRSA initiative to address high maternal death rates, particularly those related to suicide and drug overdose in the first year postpartum. The hotline provides immediate psychosocial support, information, brief intervention, and referrals via telephone, text, and web chat to pregnant and postpartum individuals experiencing mental health or substance use issues. This contract does not have a set-aside designation and runs through March 27, 2025. PSI previously held a $30,980,014.56 firm-fixed-price delivery order contract with HRSA to operate the hotline, and the organization also holds a Federal Supply Schedule contract with the General Services Administration to provide mental health support services.
