HOUSEHOLD APPLIANCES
The Department of State's U.S. Consulate General in Hermosillo seeks household appliances, with proposals due July 10, 2026. The procurement is conducted other than full and open competition based on brand-name justification.
Place of performance is El Torreon, Hermosillo, Mexico. The requirement specifies nine Maytag washing machines, seven Maytag gas dryers, and two Maytag electric dryers for the Consulate's Furniture and Appliance Pool operations. The justification for brand-name competition cites the need to standardize service delivery and maintain repair cost efficiency; current inventory consists entirely of Maytag equipment, and a local market survey confirmed parts availability and adequate technical labor support for this brand only. The Contracting Officer determined the anticipated cost is fair and reasonable.
Vendors must access the Unison Marketplace to review complete solicitation requirements, specifications, and submission instructions, and submit quotations through that platform by the closing deadline; submissions by email or other methods will not be considered. The NAICS code is 423620, Household Appliances, Electric Housewares, and Consumer Electronics Merchant Wholesalers; PSC code is 7290, Miscellaneous Household and Commercial Furnishings and Appliances.
