DWR Hydromet Maintenance
The Department of the Interior Bureau of Reclamation (BOR) is seeking to award a sole source contract for the maintenance of 48 hydromet stations and 60 snow courses within the Central Valley Project in California. The contractor will be required to access the California Data Exchange Center (CDEC) database daily to monitor station operation, perform annual preventative maintenance at each site, and purchase replacement sensors and equipment as needed. Travel to the remote sites may be required by various means including helicopter, snowmobile, and hiking. Quotes are due on July 23, 2024 by 10:00 AM Pacific Standard Time.
This is a firm-fixed price purchase order solicitation with a one-year base period and four 12-month option periods. The total estimated value of the base and option years is $1,924,668. The Bureau of Reclamation has determined that the incumbent contractor, the State of California Department of Water Resources (DWR), is the sole source for these services due to their unique qualifications and long-standing experience maintaining the hydromet stations and snow courses. The contract will be awarded without full and open competition.
