7G--NOI for noncompetitive acquisition - Nano GPS
This is a notice of intent to solicit from a single source for the USGS Pacific Coastal Marine Science Center.The US Geological Survey (USGS) intends to negotiate a purchase order with Telemetry Solutions for up to 20 Nano Enhanced GPSs, five Long Range Base Stations and one GPS Collar Software. These GPSs will be placed on southwestern pond turtles (Actinemys pallida) a species being considered for federal listing as endangered. With these GPSs the USGS will be able to track adult pond turtles to meet project needs. Telemetry Solutions is the only known source that has the required specifications that meets the government's minimum needs. These specific transmitters are necessary to fulfill the Animal Care and Use Committee's request to use a transmitter that is 140G0323Q0027 Department of the Interior US Geological Survey Office of Acquisitions and Grants

No contract will be awarded as a result of this Sources Sought announcement. The United States Geological Survey, Office of Acquisition and Grants is soliciting information from qualified sources; the results of this announcement will be evaluated to determine if there are businesses capable of performing the proposed work. The US Geological Survey, Office of Acquisition and Grants seeks responses from vendors that possess the capability to perform work, including the maintenance on, the keel mast and deck surfaces of a USGS Research Vessel in Homer, Alaska.
