The Biosystems and Biomaterials Division within NIST's Material Measurement Laboratory performs high-dimensional measurements of engineered microbes to characterize biological sensing circuits and validate AI-designed nucleic acid and protein sequences. NIST is expanding its Living Measurement Systems Foundry to double capacity by procuring functional clones of its existing automation and high-throughput flow cytometry systems for microbial culture preparation, growth, and measurement. The new systems must operate compatibly with NIST's current infrastructure. Respondents should clearly mark proprietary or restricted information; absent such markings, NIST will assume unlimited rights to all technical data submitted.
