The National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA), a civilian agency within the Department of Commerce, awarded a $90,000.00 firm fixed-price purchase order to Polaris Geospatial Services, LLC, a veteran-owned small business. The contract is for programming services to improve the code efficiency of NOAA's M-Pages Orbit Determination Component. The work includes modifying and extending existing C++ classes and libraries, writing a new C++ class to read and write satellite initial condition files, and developing a new C++ program to adjust satellite initial conditions and non-gravitational force model parameters. The contractor will be required to demonstrate the new code can meet specified accuracy tolerances and processing time requirements, and will perform the work in a Linux High Performance Computing environment provided by NOAA. This contract was awarded as a 100% small business set-aside.
