Description
Statistics have shown there is a deficit of programs offering education in the science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (stem) areas. A statewide curriculum, suborbital aeroscience studies, is being developed at fredericksburg high school to promote stem education and workforce development in the engineering industries. The program is currently being replicated by systemsgo. Fredericksburg high school s aeroscience program (fhsap) has been challenged by two factors which limit its potential for replication and dissemination to other high schools - nozzle and fuel grain fabrication. Over the past years the program has relied on outside support and donations for these two components. Although this method of acquiring support has worked, IT is not practical and is hindering the expansion of the program. Presently, testing is underway to complete the discovery of nozzle and fuel grain materials that can be safely used by any high school in the nation.
