This curriculum to be CO-developed with the indiana stem ecosystem will fill key experiential learning gaps in public school curriculum regarding climate change. The project will reach at least 2,400 largely underserved indianapolis public school students in grades k-8 and another 1,200 students from school districts across central indiana. The experiential programs, which closely align with the NASA communications theme, earth. Your home. Your home. Our mission, focusing on how NASA uses the vantage point of space to increase our understanding of our home planet and safeguard our future. School programs will address general stem knowledge as well as the stated NASA priorities and will be in alignment with next generation science standards. Museum educators will build on existing relationships with the NASA science mission directorate and ISS national lab to support program development. Programs and events will spur increased interest in NASA priorities through use of NASA resources, such as the earth observing dashboard, landsat 9, the orbiting carbon observatory (OCO), and a-train satellite constellation.
