Description

The goal of this proposal is to obtain the underlying xray spectrum of the x-RAY transient narrow line seyfert 1 galaxy wpvs 007 during one of its rare x-RAY high states. While wpvs 007 is typically in extremely low xray flux states which are caused primarily by absorption, IT has shown episodes of very violent x-RAY activity. In order to understand the real nature of the x-RAY absorber, a good knowledge of the underlying x-RAY spectrum is crucial. This, however, can only be done when IT is in a high state. We therefore propose a 35 KS triggered observation ofwpvs 007 (includes the 40% overhead for background flares)
