Description

Develope & demo a DOD sustainable prod - the purpose of this task is to provide a comprehensive technology to the government that will be a focal point for providing alternative green products and services to DLA and the DOD. This task will complete the following activities: 1.) develop and demonstrate a DOD SPC website to be hosted by the defense environmental network and information exchange (DENIX). 2.) conduct outreach activities to include site visits to various military installations in order to collect information on areas of need for sustainable alternatives. 3.) perform a validation of the DOD SPC by reviewing the information collected from outreach activities, identifying potential sustainable products to be demonstrated, executing the demonstrations in accordance with the sustainable products demonstration plan, and incorporating the new sustainable alternative products onto the DOD SPC. The purpose of option 1 is to 1.) expand the DOD SPC product categories across the DLA enterprise (DLA aviation, DLA troop support, DLA land and maritime and DLA energy). 2.) execute three (3) additional sustainable product demonstrations to be integrated into the DOD SPC website. This task is in compliance with the ndcee contract W91WLK-10-D-0005, section C.6.7.12, which states the following: conduct process evaluations of current military industrial operations to identify waste minimization, energy conservation, and safety and occupational health improvement opportunities and material substitution opportunities.
