Description
The jsam RW system is designed to provide 16 hours (threshold-24 HRS (objective)) of continuous head, eye, and respiratory protection against chemical, biological (CB), radiological particulates, and toxic industrial chemicals/toxic industrial material (TIC/TIM) hazards. Jsam is also designed to improve user acceptability and overall mission performance of the wearer as oppose to performance with legacy mask systems. The mask components are configured to reduce the overall profile of the mask and to allow for improved integration with aircraft systems. The jsam RW includes the following items: protective integrated hood, removable faceplate, microphone, man-mounted blower with battery, and mask carrier and is issued in four sizes: small, medium, large, and extra large.
