Description
Condition based maintenance plus (CBM+) technology has the potential to monitor the health of aviation systems, and sub-systems through the use of on-board diagnostics and on/off-board prognostics, which lead to component reliability improvements, reduced maintenance man-hours, and to reduced aviation accidents and incidents. The appendix H implementation guide describes the steps necessary to achieve end-to-end CBM+ technology for the army aircraft electrical/electronic components/system. The document will provide detailed guidance on methodology and implementation of embedded diagnostics/prognostic and health management (PHM) end-to-end solution for electronics with consideration of current army aviation maintenance activities.
