About this award

This is a $206,973 cost-plus-fixed-fee delivery order awarded by NASA's Langley Research Center to The Aerospace Corporation, a federally funded research and development center (FFRDC). The contract is for the contractor to provide expertise in analyzing the verification and validation (V&V) planning of NASA's Exploration Systems Development Division (ESD) programs, including the Space Launch System (SLS), Orion Multi-Purpose Crew Vehicle (MPCV), and Ground Systems Development and Operations (GSDO). The analyses will identify gaps and areas for improvement, and reports will be provided in conjunction with the ESD programs' critical design reviews and build-to-sync activities. This is not a set-aside contract, and The Aerospace Corporation has received numerous prime contract awards from NASA, the Department of Defense, NOAA, and other agencies to provide specialized engineering, evaluation, and advisory services for civil, defense, and commercial space initiatives.
