Description
"other functions" statistical methods are being utilized in NASA's next generation air transportation system (NEXTGEN) systems analysis, integration, and evaluation (SAIE) air traffic management (ATM) technology demonstration - 1 (ATD-1) to assess the performance and efficiency of concepts, tools, procedures, and algorithms, and support operational analyses. More specifically, statistical experiment design and analysis is required to support simulations evaluating individual concepts and simulations investigating the integration of concepts and technologies, leading to a demonstration of the technologies in a relevant environment. To support ATD-1, statistical expertise is required that focuses on hypothesis definition, experiment design, planning and observation, sample size determination, analysis of variance, regression modeling, nonparametric analyses, hypothesis testing, inference, and interpretation of the experimental results, which include both simulation (BATCH) and human-in-the-loop investigations.
