Description
The objective of this modeling effort is to help NASA langley's aeronautical systems analysis branch in support of the NASA airspace program and the joint program and development office (JPDO) to model novel future aerospace concepts such as zipaircraft, as well as the effects of high-speed rail on future commercial airline demand. Furthermore, secondary tasks proposed in this effort will improve the airport choice model currently programmed in the transportation systems analysis model (TSAM). Finally, a proposed task addresses the need to evaluate the nextgen airspace limitations constrained by wake vortex interactions between air vehicles. The following paragraphs provide descriptions of the proposed tasks in this project.
