Description
Exploration technology demonstration and national lab utilization enhancements the radworks team requires 3D printed enclosures to attach to the REM sensor for on-orbit experiments on the beam module. Enclosures in three different thicknesses 1.1MM, 3.3MM, 10MM will be printed for these experiments. NASA will provide the CAD design of the parts to made in space, MIS, for optimization and printing on the additive manufacturing facility, AMF, in ABS plastic. The 1.1MM and 3.3MM thick enclosures will fall under the category of small parts while the 10MM thick enclosure will be a medium part. The three unique parts will be optimized for printing and printed on orbit. A total of 3 ground prints, 1 for each thickness will be provided during optimization. The target schedule of this project is to print all 3 items on orbit by march 8TH, if possible. Meeting this schedule is subject to ISS crew time availability. The CAD design must be provided to MIS NLT february 17, 2017 in order to make IT possible to meet the target of delivering the part by march 8TH
