About this award
This is a federal contract award from the Space Technology Mission Directorate (STMD) of the National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA) to The Aerospace Corporation, a non-profit federally funded research and development center (FFRDC). The contract, a $762,534 cost-plus-fixed-fee delivery order, is for technical support services to provide program support, monitoring, and risk assessments for STMD's portfolio of technology development projects. The objective is to give NASA visibility into the technical and programmatic status of these projects as they proceed through design, development, and implementation phases. The Aerospace Corporation has previously been awarded numerous NASA contracts supporting human spaceflight programs such as the Commercial Crew Program and Artemis missions. This contract does not have a set-aside designation, reflecting the corporation's broad technical capabilities across civil, defense, and commercial space initiatives.
Description
Space technology mission directorate (stmd)technical support services. Stmd requires visibility and insight into the technical and programmatic status of projects under its portfolio, including regular and systematic review, analysis and reporting of currently available technical and programmatic data for NASA flight projects. The objective is to provide program support and non-advocate assessments specifically to: monitoring and milestone assessments across the stmd portfolio of programs, including specific technology project lifecycles, providing insights into programmatic and technical status, and for assuring visibility into program and technical risks as programs proceed through design development and implementation phases; and to use program metrics and past performance to anticipate and predict if and when technology development risks may occur, and to determine their probable cost and schedule impacts, by utilizing probabilistic EVM-based, cost trend analysis, and alternative methods.
