Description
Manned geostationary servicing study final report: aerospace will provide support to MGS study teams below in the following areas: task 1: MGS final report draft. Provide leadership and additional technical editing to complete development of a draft of the MGS final report which can be provided to stakeholder organizations for review and comment. This effort includes working with the MGS team leadership and contributors as necessary. Task 2: layout/printing support to final report manuscript. After incorporating comments from the stakeholder organizations, deliver a layout-ready to NASA headquarter layout and printing of the MGS final report. Provide technical support to NASA layout and printing until the manuscript is ready for publication. A joint DARPA/NASA study was conducted during FY11 to assess human-based satellite servicing in geosynchronous earth orbit (GEO), and to identify and recommend prioritized technologies should the agencies choose to pursue manned GEO servicing (MGS). The study team was composed of representatives from five NASA centers, DARPA contractors, federally funded research & development centers (ffrdc), and academia.
