Description

Task order no. NND13GH03T global hawk engineering services DFRC requires technical support in planning future missions and possible configurations of the global hawk aircraft. This technical support and other administrative support are not specifically covered in other task orders or they support multiple task orders. This support includes some functions incidental to administrating the contract. This task order provides a means to cover this support. NASA dryden flight research center (DFRC) has two advanced concept technology demonstration (ACTD) global hawk (GH) unmanned aerial vehicles (UAV) and supporting equipment that were acquired from the USAF. NASA shall use these air vehicles to provide a unique national civilian capability to fly government and civilian organization airborne science payloads on high-altitude, over-the-horizon, and long-duration missions. DFRC requires the engineering and technical support of the northrop grumman corporation (NGC) aerospace systems, which as the air vehicle original equipment manufacturer (OEM) and ground control station (GCS) system integrator has the unique knowledge of the ACTD global hawk aircraft and associated ground systems. In addition, DFRC will need unique NGC facilities, tooling, and/or drawings used in the aircraft design and manufacture to perform modification or repair of the aircraft. DFRC may also require support with integration, maintenance, and hardware and software modifications to the NASA global hawk GCS.
