The U.S. Department of the Navy's Naval Information Warfare Systems Command (NAVWARSYSCOM) awarded a $164,892.25 firm-fixed-price delivery order to DRS Systems, Inc., a subsidiary of the Italian manufacturer Leonardo SPA, to provide a design information package for the Navy's Next Generation Integrated Voice Communication System (NG-IVCS). This delivery order is part of a larger $171 million indefinite-delivery/indefinite-quantity (IDIQ) contract awarded to DRS Systems to integrate the NG-IVCS onto new and modernized DDG-51 Arleigh Burke-class destroyers through September 2027. The contract has no set-aside designation. DRS Systems has previously provided the Navy and U.S. Special Operations Command with various hardware, software, and engineering services, including directed infrared countermeasures, shipboard command and control systems, and weapons replaceable assemblies.
