The Department of the Navy Installations Command awarded a firm-fixed-price delivery order contract to Niihau Ranch LLC, a for-profit partnership, to provide facility support services on the privately-owned Hawaiian island of Niihau in support of missile testing and defense programs at the Pacific Missile Range Facility. The $129,778.00 contract, awarded on December 19, 2017, does not have a set-aside designation and will run through February 28, 2018. Niihau Ranch, as the sole operator and caretaker of the restricted-access island, has provided various support services to the Navy under multiple sole-source delivery orders over the past three years, totaling $5.3 million. The current contract covers building maintenance, utilities management, transportation, and other infrastructure sustainment to enable Navy operations and readiness at the Pacific Missile Range Facility on Niihau Island.
