About this award
The Department of the Navy Naval Air Systems Command awarded a $6.2 million firm fixed price delivery order to Insitu, Inc. for SCANEAGLE spare parts, training, and aircraft vehicle support. Insitu is a subsidiary of The Boeing Company that will perform the work in Bingen, Washington through May 2023. Five subcontractors were identified to support various aspects of the effort: Silicon Forest Electronics will provide electronics work; Carbon Consultants and Northwest Container Services will also assist; and Hood TECH Corp's mechanical and vision divisions will contribute their respective specialties. As the Navy's unmanned aircraft systems program of record, this order for the SCANEAGLE system will help ensure the Navy maintains capability while developing future unmanned capabilities.
