The proposed work consists of four main task elements: 1. Development of a methodology to provide an integrated, consistent assessment of risk-benefit for nextgen technologies across all phases of flight; 2. Incorporation of the metric methodology into existing led systems models (APS, RCM, cadrs); 3. Construction of new led sub-models for phases of flight not yet considered e.g. EN route; and 4. Preliminary risk-benefit estimation using the first iteration of the nextgen systems model.
