Description

'''' purchase equipment to upgrade dayton manor staff housing fire alarm. High rise is UTC GSA authorized service providers from: kellie stoker - QV0EADATE: MON, AUG 28, 2017 at 7:46 am subject: RE: $200,000 order with federal prisons ordering question to: kevin mitchell - 7QSBGHI kevin, typically, per 552.216-73 ordering information (AUG 2010), if the vendor has participating dealers, they have provided US a list of the dealer names, addresses, duns and taxpayer ID info so that ordering activities can use this information to place their order. The last paragraph says that orders should be placed in the name of the contractor "c/o the dealer." but, in reality with the ordering systems today, ordering activities simply cannot do that. So we always told them to address the order to the dealer (if that is how the vendor has IT set up) and reference the MAS contract number for the contract holder (UTC in this case) in the body of the order. If their system will allow them to manually input the MAS contract # on their order without automatically pulling in utcs info, then that is fine. IT should be coded as a contract order rather than open market so that fpds-NG is correct. Unfortunately for the ordering activity, they just have to monkey around to get their system to kick the order out in the name of the dealer contract order rather than open market kellie stoker procurement analyst office of policy and compliance acquisition policy division 817-850-8296
