Description
Verification and validation (v & v) is a discipline helping an organization build quality and stable process into the software development life cycle and related areas including operations and maintenance. Validation is concerned with confirming that processes exist and are being adhered to. The activities included under v & v are both technical and management-based activities. FFM IV & v processes shall include activities such as assessment, analysis, measurement, and inspection of select system components and processes. These IV & v processes further include the process for assessing components and artifacts in the context of the system, including the operational environment, hardware, interfacing software, operators, and users. In short, through the FFM IV & v, CMS plans to conduct audits of processes and operations in set frequencies as development and implementation activities are progressing, not at the conclusion of the software implementation.
