Description

The employment laws assistance for workers and small businesses (elaws) advisors is a DOL-wide initiative designed to help workers and small businesses understand their rights and responsibilities under and comply with numerous federal employment laws administered and enforced by the department of labor (DOL). IT is accessible to all internet users. The elaws advisors are web-based interactive systems designed to imitate the interaction one might have with a DOL employment law expert. IT asks questions and provides customized answers based on responses given. Each advisor provides information and guidance about a specific law or regulation and provides information on how to keep workers safe, ensure they receive proper wages, protect their RE-employment rights, advance workplace equal opportunity, and make IT easier to understand/provide retirement and health benefits.
