Description
The general services administration (GSA) requires that a cultural resource assessment (CRA) be conducted for the NIOSH facilities. The CRA will assist CDC in complying with section 110 of the national historic preservation act, as well as executive orders 11593 and 13287. The consultant shall identify and evaluate historic properties on and adjacent to the facilities in consultation with GSA, CDC and the appropriate state historic preservation officer (SHPO). The consultant shall prepare "requests for determinations of eligibility" (DOE), a history and archaeology report, and an assessment of effects for historic properties identified which are listed or eligible for listing in the national register of historic places (NRHP). The survey area shall include all properties in the NIOSH national facilities master plan phase I baseline facilities survey (2000). Historic property or historic resource means any prehistoric or historic district, site, building, structure, or object included in, or eligible for inclusion on the national register, including artifacts, records, and material remains related to such a property or resource.
