The 20th Contracting Squadron, Shaw AFB, SC, is seeking capability packages from HUBZONE CERTIFIED SMALL BUSINESSES to determine number available for a firm fixed-price contract for Refuse & Recycling Collection Services. The work involves collecting trash and running the recycling center IAW attached SOW. Applicable NAICS code is 562111 with a size standard of $35.5M. All interested firms should provide capability packages to this notice to include at a minimum: (1) Identification of company size and socioeconomic status; (2) Certifications, technical capability, and proof of relevant experience; (3) Percentage of work prime contract will perform for this effort and percentage of subcontract work. NOTE: This is not a request to be placed on a solicitation mailing list nor is it a Request for Proposal or a solicitation announcement. Responses are required no later than 6 May 2013. Specific projects will be defined with each individual Task Order.Work is to be performed in the general construction category to include maintenance, repair, alteration, mechanical, electrical, heating/air conditioning, demolition, painting, paving, earthwork & waterfront work in industrial/office buildings. Work may involve design/build projects as well as new construction of buildings or facilities to include some or all of the above elements of work. Added: Mar 22, 2013 1:40 pm Pre Solicitation Notice22 March 2013The 20th Contracting Squadron is soliciting a competitive 8(a) bid-build/design-build Indefinite Delivery Indefinite Quantity (IDIQ) Multiple Award Construction Contract (MACC). The intent is to award no more than eight contracts as a result of this solicitation. Projects under these IDIQ contracts will consist of construction work based on a general statement of work further defined within each individual task order. Work to be performed under the MACCs will be within the preponderance of the North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) 236220, Commercial and Institutional Building Construction with a Size Standard of $33.5M. Work is to be performed in the general construction category to include maintenance, repair, alteration, mechanical, electrical, heating/air conditioning, demolition, painting, paving, earthwork and waterfront work in both family housing and industrial/office buildings. Work may involve design/build projects as well as new construction of buildings or facilities to include some or all of the above elements of work. The scope includes work at Shaw AFB, SC and Pointsette Range, SC. The performance period for these contracts will be a one-year base and four one-year options. MACC task orders may range from $2K to $15M, to accommodate pre-design or design-build effort and shall be competed among the selected contractors. The contract award minimum guarantee amount will be $2K and shall be over the life of each contract. The MACC program aggregate not-to-exceed amount is $250M. Solicitation for any subsequent Task Order (TO) issued under these contracts will primarily be competitive Request for Proposals (RFP) or Invitation for Bids (IFB) with the option to restrict competition when deemed in the best interest of the Government. IAW the SBA 8(a) bona fide office requirement and Section 8(a) (11) of the Small Business Act, the Governement will require that contractors performing the work maintain a bona fide office in the state of SC and are incorporated within the five state area of South Carolina, North Carolina, Georgia, Alabama and Florida.
