Description
16262WC015 the U.S. Environmental protection agency (EPA) national center for environmental assessment (ncea) is currently developing a human health assessment of n-butanol (CAS no. 71-36-3). The study report from TRL (toxicity research laboratories) 1987, number 032-006 entitled RAT oral subchronic toxicity study of normal butanol: test item: n-butanol CAS no. 71-36-3 proposed as principal support for the development of one or more toxicity values for n-butanol, but this report has not been subjected to a formal peer review process. Such a peer review process is important to establishing the appropriateness, validity, and robustness of the study design, conduct, and interpretation of findings of the reported investigation. The purpose of the requested peer review is for EPA to receive written comments from individual experts.
