Added: Feb 10, 2012 3:06 pm The Federal Highway Administration (FHWA) has a new requirement for non-personal legal advisory services in support of the Transportation Infrastructure Finance and Innovation Act (TIFIA) program. The selected Contractors shall provide highly specialized legal advisory services for the TIFIA Joint Program Office in connection with the provision of secured (direct) loans, loan guarantees, and standby lines of credit to borrowers seeking to develop major surface transportation projects. Tough the TIFIA credit program, the Department of Transportation can provide credit assistance in an amount up to 33 percent of the cost of highway, transit, rail, and intermodal projects. Additional information about the TIFIA program may be found on the Internet: http://tifia.fhwa.dot.gov. FHWA is anticipating hosting a pre-proposal teleconference call related to the solicitation, open to all interested parties. Details regarding how to sign up for the pre-proposal teleconference call will be included in Section L of the solicitation, when released. Attendance on the call is not required in order to submit a proposal.It is anticipated that competition under this requirement will be Full and Open to all sources. A multiple-award Indefinite Delivery/Indefinite Quantity (IDIQ) acquisition is anticipated. It is anticipated that the total maximum contract duration will be 60 months. The solicitation, all related documents and amendments, if any, will only be released and available electronically tough the FedBizOpps posting system at https://www.fbo.gov. As such, no written, telephonic, facsimile or email requests for the solicitation package will be honored.
