Added: Nov 17, 2014 1:41 pm The Federal Bureau of Prisons, Field Acquisition Office, Grand Prairie, Texas, intends to make an award to a responsible quoter for the provision of Solid Waste Disposal Services at the Metropolitan Correctional Center (MDC), Guaynabo, Puerto Rico. The contract type is an indefinite delivery/requirements contract with firm-fixed unit prices. The contract period shall consist of a base period from date of award tough 12 months, and four one-year option periods for renewal at the discretion of the government. The Contractor shall provide all equipment, labor, and expertise required for the removal of trash/refuse/recycling. The Contractor shall supply the following dumpsters: 40 yard open top construction dumpster, 40 yard closed top dumpster and a 36 yard self- contained compactor to be placed at varying locations at the facility. The times of day and days of the week for dumpster exchanges will vary based on usage and location. The schedule is tentatively Monday, Wednesday and Friday by 7:00 a.m., for the 36 yard compactor to be dumped, the 40 yard open -top is to be dumped every other week on a Monday (or when called) and the 40 yard closed-top dumpster is to be emptied as needed (approximately once per month). The contractor is responsible for maintaining all equipment and for all dumping and landfill tipping fees. The solicitation will be made available on or about November 17, 2014, and will be distributed solely tough the Federal Business Opportunities website at www.fbo.gov. The Bureau of Prisons has a future requirement for Solid Waste Removal Services. The service will encompass supplying rental of dumpsters, hauling and disposal of solid waste from the Metropolitan Detention Center, Guaynabo, Puerto Rico. The requirement is as follows: Rental of one 36 Cubic Yard enclosed compactor with pulls to be accomplished on Monday, Wednesday and Friday of each week at 7:00 a.m., Rental of one 40 Cubic Yard open top roll-off construction dumpster to be pulled approximately twice per month and a 40 Cubic Yard enclosed cardboard compactor to be pulled approximately twice per month. Removal and disposal will be in accordance with all Federal, local and Commonwealth guidelines.
