Added: Sep 07, 2010 8:10 am The Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives (ATF) is issuing a solicitation for a Canines for the ATF National Canine Training and Operations Center (NCTOC) located at 122 Cavalry Drive Front Royal, VA 22630 area. The Government contemplates award of a Multiple Award, Firm Fixed Price, indefinite delivery and indefinite quantity (IDIQ) contract for one base year and four option years using commercial item procedures under FAR Part 15. Proposals may be submitted only by response to the attached solicitation package. Proposals must reference solicitation # DJA10S000070. If you intend to submit a proposal ensure all applicable blocks are completed on Standard Form SF 33. Complete pricing in Section B for the base year and all option years. Complete all certifications and representations. Return the technical and price proposal in accordance with the solicitation to include your past performance references. All interested parties must submit a proposal by October 21st, 2010 no later than 5:00 PM Eastern Standard Time. This contract will be awarded to the contractor(s) that are most advantageous to the Government. Proposals must include technical capabilities, past performance, price as per the attached solicitation DJA10S000070. All questions must be submitted by October 4th, 2010 no later than 3:00 PM Eastern Standard Time. No questions will be answered after this date. All questions and answers will be provided to all prospective offeror(s) via a formal amendment to the solicitation number DJA10S000070. Only purebred Labrador Retrievers will be considered to undergo canine training. Canines must be no younger than 10 months of age and have not reached 30 months of age at time of acceptance into the program. Canines must be neutered or spayed. Contractor must provide proof of complete physical examination by a state licensed veterinarian that includes eyes and plus hip x-rays. Contractor must provide proof of required inoculations and prophylactic heartworm medication. Kennel raised animals will not be accepted. Canines must have been raised in a home environment and be fully socialized. See Statement of Work for complete specifications. All canines will be tested for suitability prior to acceptance program. Canines that exhibit aggressive attitudes towards humans or other canines will not be accepted. ATF may require boarding of canines.
