About this award

This firm fixed price delivery order was awarded by the United States Agency for International Development (USAID) to Ecodit LLC under the Clean Energy for Non-Critical Priority Countries (Non-CPC) indefinite delivery/indefinite quantity (IDIQ) contract. The scope of work involves providing high-level strategic advice to the Prime Minister's Office (PMO) and targeted ministries in the Democratic Republic of the Congo (DRC) as the Energy Advisor to support key energy reforms and enable the Government of the Democratic Republic of the Congo (GDRC) to more effectively manage its energy portfolio. The two-year period of performance from September 2014 through August 2016 corresponds directly to Development Objective 1 of USAID's Country Development Cooperation Strategy for the DRC to strengthen selected national level institutions. This advisor role is a critical component of USAID's Energy Program and Activity Design (PAD) for the DRC that is currently being finalized.

Description

The energy advisor to the PMO is a critical component of the USAID/DRC energy pad that is currently being finalized and corresponds directly to development objective 1 (DO1) of the country development cooperation strategy: selected national level institutions more effectively implement their mandates. By providing high-level strategic advice to the PMO and targeted ministries in the DRC, this advisor will be directly contributing to key energy reforms that will enable the gdrc to more effectively manage its energy portfolio. The clean energy indefinite delivery/indefinite quantity contract (CE IDIQ) will be used to procure the energy advisor. This USAID/washington implementing mechanism (IM) allows USAID to issue task orders that are competed among the firms in the IDIQ.
