Tongass Timber Sale Support Activities IDIQ
Added: Dec 22, 2015 3:57 pm This is a pre-solicitation notice.DescriptionThe United States Forest Service, Region 10, Tongass National Forest has a competitive requirement for an Indefinite-Delivery Indefinite-Quantity (IDIQ), Multiple Award Task Order Contract for work to provide timber sale preparation services. These services include but are not limited to timber sale boundary marking and timber cruising, primarily variable-radius and sample tree methods. This work will occur across the southern half of the Tongass National Forest in southeast Alaska, particularly on the Ketchikan, Craig, Thorne Bay, Wrangell, and Petersburg Ranger Districts.The Tongass National Forest is the nation's largest temperate rainforest, where the climate and topographic conditions offer considerable challenges to accomplishing work of this sort. Work will be conducted in remote locations, often accessible only by float plane, boat, and 4x4 vehicles. This solicitation will result in multiple award task order contracts entered into in accordance with Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) 16.504. The Government anticipates awarding 3 or more IDIQ contracts as a result of the solicitation.This IDIQ contract is expected to last tough the 2020 field season (April-September).A Request for Proposal (RFP) is expected to be issued on or about January 30th, 2016.Quotes will be due 30 days after release of the solicitation unless otherwise stated when the solicitation is posted. This will be a total small business set-aside.
