About this award

The National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA) Glenn Research Center awarded a $6.875 million firm fixed price delivery order contract to Maxar Space LLC for post design analysis cycle task support related to the Power and Propulsion Element (PPE) and Co-Manifested Vehicle (CMV) under Gateway. Maxar Space LLC will perform the work out of its Palo Alto, California facility over a 6-month period concluding in late February 2021. As part of NASA's Artemis program goals to return astronauts to the Moon by 2024, the Gateway is a planned small space station in lunar orbit that will provide critical support for long-term human exploration and scientific discovery on and around the Moon. This delivery order will analyze design changes and upgrades needed for the PPE and CMV elements that will be transported to Gateway in support of those exploration objectives.
